New high-capacity automatic metros have proven reliable and safe with headway between trains reduced to 85 seconds on RATP's driver-less system.

They provide a high quality service and maximum comfort to passengers and are highly flexible.

In 2008, Paris line 14, the first automated high capacity metro line, celebrated 10 years of near-perfect service in terms of reliability and efficiency.

Today, our world leading expertise enables RATP teams to fully operate the Parisian network's busiest line (line 1) during its migration to a driverless mode without any traffic disruption and inconvenience to its 750,00 daily travelers, another world premiere.
85 seconds headway with automatic trainsUnderground rail systems provide the fastest and most efficient means to move around densely populated cities.

The RATP group is a world leader in traditional and driverless subways. Its expertise in designing, operating and maintaining metro transit systems is recognized on five continents.

Today, Ratp Dev works on proven, safe and cost-effective new solutions to populations in Algiers, São Paulo, Roma and Asia. Our experts draw on their 60 years of experience at mastering and upgrading one of the highest density network in the world, the 100 year-old Paris Metro with its 300 stations and 14 lines totaling more than 200 km. State of the art flow management and control systems have cut the headway to 95 seconds between trains on some lines. It will soon go down to 90 seconds.

We keep regular users loyal and attract new customers through modernization, innovative marketing and our focus on passenger satisfaction.
